ALLIED ARTISTS OF THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS & SEASHORE SECOND QUARTER PAINT-OUTS: APRIL-JUNE, 2022

APRIL 9 – TOPANGA STATE PARK, 20825 Entrada Road, Topanga 90290
One of the largest parks within an American city boundary, Topanga State Park
connects to Will Rogers and Malibu Creek State Park via the Backbone Trail.
Topanga offers plenty to paint, from secluded trails to mountain vistas, from green
meadows to occasional deer sightings. Oil Painter Vickie Pellouchoud will conduct
an Oil Painting Demo at 9am. Meet near restrooms. Parking Fee. Use GPS or take
Topanga Canyon Rd from PCH or Ventura Freeway. Turn east on Entrada Rd., near
Town Center, bearing left as you drive uphill. Look for park sign. Rain Cancels.

MAY 14 – LEO CARRILLO BEACH, 35000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu 90265
Our seaside inspirations include huge rock formations, shoreline views, the crashing
surf on the rocks below and the lifeguard stations standing sentinel over the vast
Pacific. To get to Demo site, the easiest way is to park on the beach side of Pacific
Coast Highway. A path through the brush will lead you down to Lifeguard Station #3
where Oil Painter Annie Hoffman will be conducting the Demo at 9am on the rock
formations below. Use GPS or take PCH, driving west of Kanan Road a few miles
Past Trancus. The sign for the park entrance is on the right. You can park i on
inland side and walk through tunnel to get to location as well. Facilities. Parking fee
for Park lot.

JUNE 11 – MALIBU LAGOON STATE BEACH, 23200 Pacific Coast Highway,
Malibu 90265
A wooden bridge is our path through this great lagoon, with many stops along the
way to catch a grand view of the waterfowl, marsh reeds or proceed to the end and
come out at the beach with incredible views taking in the mountains, the lagoon and
the Santa Monica Pier. Pastellist Bruce Trentham will conduct a Pastel Demo at
9am. Meet in parking lot. Portable Toilets. Parking Fee. Take PCH to Cross Creek
Rd (.025 mile west of the Malibu Pier). Parking lot is on ocean side of PCH.
