City of Malibu Celebrates Native American History at the 24th Annual Chumash Day Powwow and Intertribal Gathering
Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 at Malibu Bluffs Park (24250 Pacific Coast Highway).The event will feature Native American tribal ceremonies, dances, and special guest performances. Twenty Native American artisan vendors will have merchandise for sale including: jewelry, flutes, moccasins, beading accessories, leatherworks, pottery, dream catchers, and more. Food will be available for purchase from Bison Burger, Drizzle, Gostosas Thrill from Brazil, Rice Balls of Fire, Salt ‘N Pepper, and Tropic Truck.This free family-friendly cultural event is open for all to attend, no tickets or RSVPs are needed. Event hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a Grand Entry at 12:00 PM each day. Free general parking is available on the corner of Civic Center Way and Webb Way (23575 Civic Center Way) with free shuttle rides available to and from Malibu Bluffs Park. Parking for people with disabilities is available at Malibu City Hall (23825 Stuart Ranch Road) with free Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant shuttle rides. There is no on-site parking at Malibu Bluffs Park.
