October 15th 2 – 4pm – In Person (Topanga)The Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM) is looking to train and recruit more “Wildfire Home Evaluators” in the Santa Monica Mountains. This is an extension of the Home Ignition Zone Evaluation program that we developed, and then turned over to the RCDSMM. Since then, they have expanded it to many more communities. The goal is to train more volunteer evaluators to help people harden their homes against wildfire. It’s is a great way to serve your community and make it safer! The Wildfire Preparedness Training will be a combination of online and in person sessions on October 14th and 15th. The in person session will be held in Topanga. There is no cost to attend the training. If you are interested in becoming an Evaluator the sign-up link is here .
