Wilderness Survival Foundation

March 20, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Would you like to know how to survive an un-planned night or two in the wilderness?

Our “Wilderness Survival Foundation” course will teach you what is involved to help you survive.

 • Priorities in a Wilderness Survival Situation

• What order to address the survival priorities

• Skills and equipment needed to address each of the survival priorities

This 2-hour wilderness survival primer covers (with discussion and demonstration), the skills you can easily develop and equipment that is readily available to build your survival kit.

While we do touch on “primitive” methods of survival, our focus is mastering the modern gear you can easily learn how to use and obtain. You will gain the understanding of how to survive an unplanned overnight (or more) in the wilderness as well as how to help facilitate rescue.

This program will meet at the King Gillette Visitor Center at the picnic tables in the back. This program is open to teens and adults. Seating at the tables is limited so bring a camp chair in case the tables fill up.

No RSVP needed.
