Join craftsman, Peter Rice, for the first in the new series of workshops at Kidiwische Corner in Topanga: Making cordage with Dogbane and Milkweed. Sunday, March 13, 10am – 2pm. Suggested donation for materials $5
Peter Rice has been an educator and scholar in the ecology and prehistory of the Los Angeles area, including the material culture of the Chaparral since 1984. Rice has worked with students and teachers in hands-on, fun-filled workshops using an interactive teaching style, including visuals, games, authentic crafts, sensory participation, and storytelling. Rice has a Bachelor of Arts: History/Social Science degree from CSUDH and currently serves as an educator and teacher for the Topanga Canyon Docents.
Class is outdoors, and limited to 10 participants, 16 and older. Please bring your own lunch, although light refreshments will also be offered.
