April 2-8. During International Dark Sky Week, residents are invited to join the Dark Skies movement to reduce light pollution, which impacts nocturnal animals. This year, Dark Sky Week is scheduled to coincide with the 2024 total solar eclipse. The International Dark-Sky Association promotes solutions that allow people to appreciate dark, star-filled skies while enjoying the benefits of responsible outdoor lighting.
