Round Reed Basket Workshop

Kat High, Hupa artist, storyteller and astronomer will demonstrate how to make round reed baskets.  

 

Reservations are required for the 15 available spots.  The workshop will take place outside on the front porch. In the event of high winds or rain we may move the workshop inside the building. Masks must be worn inside the building and social distancing protocols will be followed. 

 

Please arrive early. There is a short walk from the main parking lot to the culture center. Follow the trail to the right side of the bathrooms.

Directions to Rancho Sierra Vista main parking lot: 

Main entrance is located at the cross street of Via Goleta and Lynn Road, Newbury Park, CA, 91320 

From the 101 Freeway, exit at Wendy Drive and head south. Turn right on Lynn Road. Turn left on Via Goleta. 

Drive all the way to the main parking lot near the restrooms and kiosk. Take the trail to the right side of the restrooms and that will lead you to the Culture Center.
