Songwriting with Ian-New Dates!

December 17, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This workshop will focus on the creation of new songs. It will employ
innovative approaches to lyric writing, and the creation of melodic,
harmonic, and rhythmic content. Participants will develop a deeper
understanding of lyrics, song structure and music theory. The workshop will
also explore methods for spontaneous creativity and thinking outside the
box. While not required, some knowledge of music theory and competence
on at least one instrument or voice will prove helpful for our work together.
Ian Turner has worked professionally as a musician, songwriter, composer
and music producer in New York City for the past decade. He is a graduate
of Bard College with a multitude of experiences in music, dance, theatre,
film and literature as well as teaching and working with youth.
