Virtual Evacuation Drill

All Topanga Canyon and Sunset Mesa residents are encouraged to take part in a Virtual Evacuation Drill on Thursday, August 12 at 6 p.m.

“The recent Palisades Fire highlights the importance of being ready. We will provide information on preparing before an incident occurs, and how to evacuate if necessary,” an announcement for the event states.

“The online live drill will be in response to a realistic fire scenario which progresses during the event, resulting in the “evacuation” of residents by zones. The event will feature active instruction by Fire, Law Enforcement, Office of Emergency Management, and Animal Care & Control.”

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback directly from Fire Department and Law Enforcement officials.
