Canyon Sages Upcoming Events

Sages activities and classes resumed on May 29, after a brief Topanga-Days-related pause. Noteworthy upcoming events will include:

June 5 from 1PM – 2:30PM: Book Talk, discussing Misfits by Mark Harris, featuring the local author himself. Misfits is a collection of short stories that follow an intriguing cast of characters who see themselves as outsiders in a fast-paced world. Through unexpected adventures that lead to self-revelation, the characters discover new sources of resilience, connection and hope. Set in Los Angeles, Harris portrays LA as a microcosm of contemporary society. Mark Harris has published essays, non-fiction books and five award winning children’s books. Mark is best known as a documentary film maker. He has won multiple Academy Awards for his documentary films, a Writers’ Guild Award, and other awards and acclaim. New to Book Talk? Canyon Sages is hosting Topanga authors who would like to share their work. The author will be interviewed by Mark Hein about their lives, work, and inspirations, followed by readings from the author. Books will be available for purchase. For more information, contact Mark Hein [email protected].
