TOPANGA DAYS IS ALMOST HERE!

All adversity aside, whether the Boulevard is open or not, the Topanga Community Center knows that THE SHOW MUST GO ON, and so it is that TOPANGA DAYS will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on Memorial Day Weekend!

This year Topanga Days celebrates 50 years of music and community with an eclectic mix of musical acts from the last 5 decades. The three-day family-friendly festival and TCC fundraiser continues to draw a diverse group of people to the Topanga Community Center (TCC) to enjoy a full weekend of music on 2 stages, a fun zone for kids, plus local artists and vendors, food, desserts, and drinks, and the outrageous and wacky Memorial Day parade on Monday.

With the fires and the boulevard being closed to PCH, the TCC recognizes the struggle that local businesses are experiencing, so they are offering a few free booth spaces to local storefront businesses and artists. As TCC is experiencing the same struggles, a successful Topanga Days fundraiser is critical to the survival of the volunteer managed non-profit community center and the beloved annual festival.

This Memorial Day Weekend, spend your entertainment dollars locally at Topanga Days and know that you are not only guaranteeing yourself a great time but also supporting your local community center. Spread the word to become a TCC member now to enjoy 50% off your ticket price and discounts throughout the year.

“This year’s musical lineup features the best quality of bands, overall, Topanga Days has ever had—in my opinion,” says Producer, Nonie Shore.

The Topanga Days lineup features: the surf rock, neo psychedelic vibes of Los Angeles natives, Allah-Las, on Saturday, May 24th at 5:30 p.m., The English Beat, the soul, reggae, punk, ska blending dance pop legends on Sunday, May 25th at 5:30 p.m., and star powered 70s rock cover band, Chevy Metal, on Monday, May 26th at 5:45 p.m.

In addition, the Main Stage outdoor lineup also will feature:

Orgone, Cubensis, The Spazmatics, Venice, Miracle Glass Company, Regina Ferguson, The Chester Copper Pot, The Greenhorn Brothers, Dark Desert Highway, Mr. Ginger Merkin, ViRR, and James Houlahan.

The indoor Corral Stage features an impressive lineup of performers ranging from americana and bluegrass, to rock, funk, and blues bands.

Check topangadays.com for the times each band is scheduled to play, as well as a showcase of talent from TCC classes and programs, and of course, the beloved ballfield games like the Sack Race, Egg Toss, and the Pie Eating Contest.

With plenty of additional activities for kids, from creative face painting to a Kids’ Fun Zone with various games, a playground, giant slide, and bounce house, this event makes for the perfect family outing.

Topanga Days is going to be well worth the price of admission to support your local community center.

The Topanga Days Memorial Day Parade is on Monday morning, May 26  from 8:30 am-10:30 am. This year, to honor our brave firefighters who protect Topanga, our Grand Marshal will be assistant Fire Chief Drew Smith. The impressive parade of floats, cars, kids, firetrucks and more begins at Pine Tree Circle and ends at the entrance to the Topanga Community Center where Monday’s festivities will begin with Inara George and a special guest singing America The Beautiful and a flag raising ceremony honoring members of the military.

The TCC has also been very fortunate to secure Topanga Days sponsorships. Sophie Zeiler, the TCC VP in charge of Fundraising, adds, “We are grateful to everyone for helping to sponsor our fundraiser this year, as this event has become very expensive to host. This year, the Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation, The Witch House, Watch Duty, Molson Coors, The Wright Way Team with Compass Realty, and 101 Exit have led the way in being our Backbone Trail sponsors.”  Every sponsorship makes a difference, and it is not too late to become a sponsor. All sponsorship information can be found online at: Become a Sponsor: Topanga Days.com
