Free Sustainability Courses at SMC 

This Spring Santa Monica College is once again excited to offer two of their free Noncredit Sustainability certificates: Sustainability In Organics Aide and Sustainability Services.

Technician. All sections are Flexible and will be taught primarily through Canvas and other learning platforms that are flexible to your schedule.

The Sustainability in Organics Aide program will help students develop a general understanding of sustainability principles related to organics and help you learn how to implement organics sustainability into the workplace, culture and your community.

The Sustainability Services Technician will provide you with an introduction to careers in clean technology to help prepare you for careers such as recycling coordinator, waste management technician, resource recovery assistant, environmental assessor, sales & operations and management assistant.

When you register for Noncredit classes you gain access to academic and career counseling. Upon completion you will be connected to JVS West Los Angeles WorkSource to receive assistance looking for jobs in the field, and will be invited to participate in SMC’s graduation.
