Free Online SMC Sustainability Certificates & Courses

Sustainability Classes and Certificates for your current career or to help you onto a new green path.

Santa Monica College delivers high quality, relevant education, and training designed to give you the skills to be part of the solution: Classes start August 26th. Currently, most classes are now online, for your convenience.

This Fall, SMC is excited to offer their free Noncredit Sustainability certificate: Sustainability Services Technician. All sections are Flexible and will be taught primarily through Canvas and other learning platforms that are flexible to your schedule. The Sustainability Services Technician certificate of accomplishment will provide you with an introduction to careers in clean technology to help prepare you for careers such as recycling coordinator, waste management technician, resource recovery assistant, environmental assessor, sales & operations and management assistant.

When you register for Noncredit classes you gain access to academic and career counseling. Upon completion you will be connected to JVS West Los Angeles Work Source to receive assistance looking for jobs in the field and will be invited to participate in SMC’s graduation.
