Theatricum’s “Under theOaks” Series Kicks Off May 16 

Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum’s Under the Oaks salon series kicks off the summer season with three evenings of classical music under the stars. “Hills Like White Elephants” is an interdisciplinary adaptation of the short story by Ernest Hemingway featuring a string quartet, acting and singing, and gripping music by renowned composers including Caroline Shaw, Philip Glass, Louis Andriessen. 

Hills Like White Elephants dates are: Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m., and Friday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35. theatricum.org

The events are held at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. Note that Topanga Canyon Blvd. is currently closed in both directions between Pacific Coast Highway and Grand View Drive due to an active landslide. Until further notice, exit the 101 at Topanga Canyon Blvd. South to access Theatricum from the northern end., or drive up Las Flores from the PCH if you’re in the Malibu area.
