Topanga Symphony Presents its Next Free Concert

The Topanga Symphony, the Santa Monica Mountains only community orchestra, announces an upcoming free concert performance on June 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Topanga Community Center The concert will feature soloist Eunice Lee, violin playing Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64. The concert will also include Symphony #2 in D by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges and Symphony #7 in A, Op. 92 by Ludwig van Beethoven. 

Violinist Eunice Lee is a student at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, studying under the tutelage of Robert Lipsett. Eunice has received a number of honors in competitions and festivals, a few of which included first prize in the Young Stars of the Future Competition, Classics Alive National Auditions, and Bellflower Symphony Concerto Competition. Eunice recently appeared as a soloist with the San Fernando Valley Symphony and Eisner Intergenerational Orchestra South Coast Symphony, and has performed with Bellflower Symphony, SYMF Festival Orchestra, the Orchestra Collective of Orange County, and was featured on National Public Radio’s “From the Top.” She was awarded the Colburn Foundation Scholarship in Violin, as well as fellowship from the Dorothy Richard Starling Foundation. Eunice has most recently worked closely playing chamber music with renowned artists Augustin Hadelich, Inon Barnatan, Gil Shaham, Adele Anthony, and Robert McDuffie. Eunice has spent the past few summers attending the Aspen Music Festival and the Music Academy of the West.

The Topanga Symphony has been presenting free classical music concerts to the public for over 40 years because of the support of LA County Department of Arts and Culture OGP, donations from “Friends of the Topanga Symphony” and local businesses, a grant from the Colburn Foundation and LA County 3rd District Supervisor Lindsay Horvath’s Discretionary Funding Program.
