Local Film Double Feature

Paul Doolin and Ollie Sheldon will be screening two unreleased, partially fictional films at the
Topanga Library on Saturday, December 6. Kaleidoscopic features the Topanga time tunnel, and
includes present day Topanga and unseen super 8 footage from the 1980s of surfing and skate
boarding around Topanga and California.
Surf Break Europa is the sequel to Kaleidoscopic and features a Topanga skateboard
reunion on Highway 27, when the road was closed in 2023. Also, skateboarding skyline pool in
the 1980s, with Mike Cepin and Adam Kirby. Super 8 footage by Paul Doolin and Matt Doolin,
and friends. Thank you to the talented Michael Chinyamurindi for his original song and
narration.
Both films feature historical footage of Topanga Canyon. Both films contain a very small
amount of offensive language. Both films are destined to be classics and are part of a larger
ongoing series of films, some completed and some in production, involving the Topanga time
tunnel. Kaleidoscopic screens at 5 pm and Surf Break Europa screens at 6:45 pm. A $5
donation is suggested.
The films will be available for purchase at the event on flash drive, DVD or download. $20 each
or both films for $30. pdoolin12@gmail.com for more information.
