Topanga Actors Company’s Our Man in Santiago by Mark Wilding

Our Man in Santiago opens September 10 at Odyssey Theater Ensemble, and closes September 20. The Odyssey is located at 2055 S. Sepulveda Boulevard.

Topanga Actors Company is proud to announce their production of Our Man in Santiago, directed by Topanga local, Elizabeth Herron, at one of the Westside’s premiere stages. Anyone lucky enough to catch the library reading last October of Mark Wilding’s boisterous and engaging farce-comedy knows the excitement in store for a wider, westside audience this month as local producers, Judith Hendra and Edward Giron, bring a full-scale production to the stage. With consummate skill, author Mark Wilding (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal) fashions his farce-comedy out of a well-known incident in 1973 involving the CIA, Santiago Chile, and the unfortunate Salvador Allende. Wilding’s play has everyone from two bumbling CIA agents, and a local hotel maid whose loyalty is up for grabs, to President Richard Nixon and his advisor Henry Kissinger phoning it in from the White House.

The cast: Troy Guthrie, Mark Irvingsen, Presciliana Esparolini, Allan Wasserman, and Ed Giron as Nixon.
