Summer of Kittens

Hello, kitties! National Park Service biologists have proclaimed 2020 in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area as the Summer of Kittens. A total of 13 kittens were born to five mountain lion mothers between May and August 2020. This is the first time this many mountain lion dens have been found within such a short period of time during the 18-year NPS study. This is P-65, who has three kittens, captured on video by a motion-activated camera. For more photos and video, visit www.flickr.com/photos/santamonicamtns/with/50298351002/
