Santa Monica College is once again offering free online sustainability certificate programs this summer, beginning June 21.

“This summer, we are excited to offer two of our free Noncredit Sustainability courses: Sustainability in Organics Aide and Sustainability Assistant,” an announcement for the programs states. “In the Sustainability in Organics Aide program, you  will develop a general understanding of the sustainability principles related to organics. You will learn to implement organics sustainability in the workplace, community and larger culture. In the Sustainability Assistant program you will be introduced to the functional areas of sustainability and their role in public-private policy development and implementation.”

Students gain access to academic and career counseling. Participants who complete the program will be connected to JVS West Los Angeles Work Source to receive assistance looking for jobs in the field and will be invited to participate in SMC’s graduation.
