Butterfly Day at the Mountain Mermaid in Topanga

On Sunday, August 28th from 9–5, the 3rd annual Butterfly Day will take place at The Mermaid!

The event is a non-profit fundraiser co-hosted by Topanga Elementary School Science Committee and The Mountain Mermaid in collaboration with Topanga Town Council.

As well as 20 exhibits on environmental education, fun activities for kids and, of course, plenty of butterflies, the day will also include live musical performances by musicians: Peter Alsop, Antonia Bath, Camp Cabaret All-Stars, Aurora Finetti, Allegra Frost, Honey Wild, Vir McCoy & Heather Christie, Luella Roche, and JB Whittenburg.

Admission is $20 for adults and teens, but only $10 for children ages 5-12, and kids under 5 are free. Food and drinks available for purchase.

The proceeds will benefit Topanga Elementary Science and the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.

The Mermaid is located at 20421 Callon Drive, Topanga. Park at the Theatricum and take the shuttle, or park at the Clare Brown Lot next to The Mermaid. NO PARKING on the streets in Cheney Canyon.
