TAC Presents PATRIOTS April 12 and 13

A play about an epic rivalry based on real-life events

In 1991, after the fall of the Soviet Union, the new Russia belongs to its oligarchs—and no one is more powerful than the billionaire Boris Berezovksy. When Russia needs a successor to President Boris Yeltsin, Berezovksy takes on a new role—kingmaker. His chosen candidate? Vladimir Putin, an obscure ex-deputy mayor and ex-KGB agent. But Berezovksy has wildly miscalculated; Putin’s rise sets off a struggle of near-Shakespearean intensity between two flawed men that had London and Broadway audiences enraptured.

Patriots playwright, Peter Morgan, also created The Crown for Netflix and wrote the play Frost/Nixon following it with the screenplay.

Join Topanga Actors Company at Topanga Library for an enhanced staged reading, featuring company members Edward Giron as Berezovksy and Mark Irvingsen as Putin, leading an incredible cast of company members and guests. There will be two readings/performances at 2 pm, on April 12 and 13. This event is free, with open seating and library parking.
