Artemis Studio LA and SPACE Art + Supply announce the opening of “The Place Above”, a collaborative exhibition that celebrates the natural beauty and resilient spirit of Topanga. This dynamic show brings together 49 Los Angeles-based artists in an effort to uplift the landscape and the community that calls Topanga home.

The exhibition is the result of a partnership between two women-owned galleries, both led by 33-year-old entrepreneurs who are deeply rooted in Topanga’s artistic fabric. The show’s creation comes at a particularly significant time, as local businesses continue to recover from the aftermath of the Palisades Fire.

With its sweeping landscapes, rugged mountains, and coastal beauty, Topanga has long been a muse for artists of all mediums. In “The Place Above”, the participating artists explore these themes and celebrate the land’s profound influence on creativity and culture.

The show spans a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.

Each of the 49 artists brings their unique perspective on Topanga’s landscape, offering a rich visual experience that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

“The Place Above” opened on April 5th and will run through the end of May at both galleries.
