The Topanga Historical Society event covers the history of Froggy’s

The Froggy’s Topanga Fish Market building is 101 years old. Its history goes back to 1925, when it opened as the Topanga School. In 1954 it became the American Legion Hall. In the 1980s, it was two restaurants: The Goldrush and Shemrun. In 1994, Lance Roberts opened Froggy’s. Popular for its seafood, live music, and patio, Froggy’s has struggled to stay open since 2020 due to natural disasters and new permit laws. Come hear former students, legionnaires, and neighbors tell stories about how this space brings Topangans together.

Meet your neighbors at Froggy’s on Sunday, September 20, to learn more about the historic building. There will be a 1pm potluck lunch, and the presentation will start at 2pm.
